Homeowners with a defined project or an urgent repair, HVAC, roofing, solar, pest control or remodeling.
Home services is the most geographically unforgiving vertical we run. A roofing contractor who covers four counties gains nothing from a caller in the fifth, no matter how well qualified. Service areas are irregular, they rarely map to a DMA, and they change as a contractor's crew capacity changes.
So geography is handled at ZIP level and reviewed as a standing part of the campaign rather than set once at onboarding. When a buyer takes on capacity in a new area, the campaign follows. When a crew is stretched, we pull back rather than let calls arrive that cannot be serviced for three weeks, an unserviceable call damages the contractor's reputation locally, which is a cost that never appears on an invoice.
The category contains two very different consumers. One has a failed air conditioner in August and will book whoever answers. The other is idly considering a kitchen remodel next year. Both will fill in the same form, and only one is worth a contractor's afternoon.
We screen on project timing explicitly, alongside homeowner status, renters cannot authorise the work, and the nature of the job. Emergency repair, planned replacement and exploratory research are routed differently, and buyers choose which of them they want. Most want the first two and are glad not to receive the third.
HVAC peaks with the weather. Roofing follows storms. Solar moves with incentive announcements and electricity prices. Pest control has its own calendar and it is regional. Pretending that a home services campaign delivers evenly across a year is the most common misrepresentation in this vertical.
We plan against the real curve, tell buyers what to expect before they commit budget, and build the campaign so it can scale up inside a peak without the quality falling apart. A contractor who staffs for a promised flat volume and then receives four months of it at once has been badly served, even if the annual total matched.
Home services works for contractors, franchise networks and aggregators with clearly defined service areas and the crew capacity to book work promptly.
Set at onboarding and written down. Changing any of it is a conversation, not a silent adjustment.
ZIP level, and we review it as service areas change. Contractor coverage rarely matches a DMA boundary, so anything coarser produces calls that cannot be serviced.
Tell us which side you are on and what you are trying to grow. We will come back with a scoped test campaign, the filters we would apply, and what we would need from you to run it properly.
Start on a capped test campaign. If the calls do not meet the standard we agreed, you do not pay for them.
